Establishing Additional eQSL.cc Accounts
Introduction
This procedure is for users who already have an eQSL.cc account but want to create additional accounts for previous callsigns or because of a change in QTH. It will create a new attached account for your new call or QTH. Attached accounts share award credits, donations and provide easy switching between accounts without the need to log off and on again.
If you don't already have an eQSL.cc account, please follow the procedure at Establishing an Initial eQSL.cc account
Note: every eQSL.cc account has a start date and an end date. Two eQSL.cc accounts can only have same name if their start dates and end dates do not overlap.
Procedure
- Log on to your existing eQSL.cc account.
- If you will no longer be making submitting QSOs to your existing eQSL.cc account,
- go to "My Profile"
- change the Callsign/QTH end date to the date of the last contact you made from that QTH or using that callsign.
- save your profile.
Right click here and select "Open in new window" to open "My Accounts" at eQSL.cc while keeping this page open for reference.
- In the form at the bottom of the page change the call or QTH information as needed and set the start date to the first date that you will operate from your new QTH or using your new call. Check the information carefully because if there are already cards waiting for the new account you may have difficulty changing it later.
Click Create New
Common Problems
When you attempt to change the date on your current account, you receive an error message saying, "Outbox contents do not match new Callsign/QTH Start and End Dates". Solution: This is caused by the fact that you have QSO's in your Outbox that fall outside of the date range you are trying to set. You must first delete any such QSO's before you can change the date. If you have trouble doing that, contact eQSL support, they can help you.
You have already created your new account using the Initial account method and all you want to do is attach your accounts. Solution: First, make sure that the email address on each account that you want to attach is the same. Then log on to one of your accounts, go to "My Accounts" and attach your other existing accounts. If you don't see all of your accounts in the attach list, log off and log on to another account.
