Tracking IOTA Award Progress
Record each QSO's IOTA tag in the IOTA box in DXKeeper's Capture window, or the IOTA box in the QSO Info panel on WinWarbler's QSO Info panel. You can modify the IOTA tag of a logged QSO via the IOTA box in the Awards panel on the Log QSOs tab of DXKeeper's Main window.
Enabling Realtime Award Tracking
SpotCollector can highlight Spot Database Entries needed for IOTA, place an a I in the each needed entries Needed column, and generate audio or email alerts. To enable this,
terminate SpotCollector
check the Realtime Award Progress box in the IOTA panel on the Configuration window's Awards tab; when asked if all QSOs int he log should be scanned, click the Yes button
start SpotCollector
on the Spot Database tab of SpotCollector's Configuration window, click the Recomputation panel's Recomp button
Populating the QSL Queue with QSOs whose Confirmation would Advance your IOTA Award Progress
To populate the QSL Queue with QSOs whose IOTA groups are worked but not requested or confirmed, check the Award panel's IOTA box in the QSL Configuration window's Add Needed panel and then click the Add Needed button on the Main window's QSL tab.
Using the IOTA Verified item to capture IOTA status
Each QSO's IOTA Verified item is accessible via the QSL panel in the Main window's Log QSOs tab. The choices provided by this item are

Checking Realtime Award Progress
The Realtime Award Tracking window's IOTA tab provides an IOTA Award Progress panel that lists all IOTA Groups that have been worked, confirmed or verified; to display this window, click the RAT button on the Log QSOs tab of DXKeeper's Main window. In this window,
The IOTA Award Progress Filter panel enables you to filter the IOTA Award Progress panel to selectively show what IOTA Groups are worked, worked but not requested, requested but not confirmed, confirmed but not verified, and/or verified.
to reset the filter so that all IOTA Groups are visible in the Progress Grid, click the All button.
to generate a report showing all IOTA Groups listed in the IOTA Award Progress panel, click the IOTA Award Progress Filter panel's Report button.
The IOTA Award Progress panel is live: double-clicking an IOTA Group or mixed cell will filter the Log Page Display to show all QSOs with that IOTA Group, and make the Log Page Display visible.
Generating a Progress Report
To generate a report showing which IOTA Groups have been worked, worked and requested, confirmed, submitted, and verified, select the Main window's Check Progress tab and click the IOTA panel's Progress report button. To limit this report to specific bands, modes, or time intervals, filter the Log Page Display before invoking the progress report.
Submitting IOTA Contest QSOs (tnx to Wolf DK1FW and Valeria IK1ADH)
upload your contest qsos to IOTA
- your upload will be checked against those contest logs accepted by IOTA
A QSO that matches a QSO in an uploaded contest log is considered a pre-approved QSL
set this QSO's IOTA Verified item to S
- include this QSO in your IOTA submission
Updating Logged QSOs to Reflect Status Downloaded from IOTA
log in to https://www.iota-world.org
open the MY IOTA menu at the top of the web page page, and select DOWNLOAD QSOS (CSV)
direct your web browser to save the myqso.csv file
in the IOTA panel on the Main window' s Check Progress, click the Update button
accept DXKeeper's offer to backup your log file, and when prompted select the myqso.csv file you saved in step 1.c
DXKeeper will update your logged QSOs to reflect the IOTA status reported in the myqso.csv file, and display a report showing those updates:
if a logged QSO does not specify an IOTA item, the logged QSO's IOTA item will be updated with the tag specified in the myqso.csv file
if a logged QSO specifies an IOTA item different than that specified in the myqso.csv file, the logged QSO's IOTA item will be changed to the tag specified in the myqso.csv file
if a logged QSO's IOTA verified item is not set to V and the status in the myqso.csv file is Accepted, the logged QSO's IOTA verified item will be set to V
if a logged QSO's IOTA verified item is set to V and the status in the myqso.csv file is not Accepted, the logged QSO's IOTA verified item will remain set to V
