Upgrading to DXCC Database version 2.2.3
DXCC Database version 2.2.3
- Adds St. Barthelemy as a new DXCC entity, (prefix FJ, country code 516, IOTA NA-146, start date 2007-12-14)
- Removes FJ as a prefix for Saint Martin (country code 213)
- Corrects the latitude and longitude for the location associated with prefix UA3D
- Changes the timezone for Venezuela to 4.5
- Adds Chinese CQ zones and province names where they can be determined from the callsign
These instructions will help you
install DXCC Database version 2.2.3 (and its associated DXCC list used by WinWarbler)
- update your log in DXKeeper
update your Spot Database in SpotCollector
create a temporary Joe DX audio announcement for St. Barthelemy
Step-by-step Instructions
1. Install DXCC Database version 2.2.3 (and its associated DXCC list)
if you have SpotCollector, DXKeeper, and/or WinWarbler running, terminate them
if you have DXView installed,
- start DXView if its not already running
open DXView's Configuration window, and select its Databases tab
click the New? button
click the DXCC Database's Upgrade button (this also updates the DXCC list used by the current version of WinWarbler)
if you don't have DXView installed
download and run the zip archive from http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxview/DXCC.exe
unzip the contents of this zip archive into DXKeeper's Databases folder (if DXKeeper is installed) and into SpotCollector's Databases folder (if SpotCollector is installed)
modify the Unzip to Folder box to the appropriate pathname for DXKeeper and/or SpotCollector before clicking the Unzip button
if you use WinWarbler,
download and run the zip archive from http://www.dxlabsuite.com/winwarbler/WinWarblerDXCClist.exe
unzip the contents of this zip archive into WinWarbler's Databases folder
note that the Unzip to Folder box is set to c:\program files\dxlab suite\winwarbler\databases - if your WinWarbler is installed in a location other than c:\program files\dxlab suite\winwarbler, appropriately modify this pathname before clicking the Unzip button
2. Update your log in DXKeeper (skip if you don't use DXKeeper)
- run DXKeeper
open the Config window's Log tab, and click the Log panel's Backup button
open the Main window's Check Progress tab, and click the Recomp button
- DXKeeper will display a report showing any changes made to QSOs in your log
if you have more than one Log file, then repeat steps 2b and 2c after opening each Log file
if you've logged any QSOs with stations on St. Barthelemy on or after 2007-12-14, change their DXCC entity from Saint Martin to St. Barthelemy
3. Update your Spot Database in SpotCollector (skip if you don't use SpotCollector)
run SpotCollector
open the Config window's Spot Database tab and click the Recomp button in the Log file referenced for award progress panel
4. Install the Joe DX audio announcement for St. Barthelemy (skip if you don't use SpotCollector)
terminate SpotCollector if its running
download and run the zip archive from http://www.dxlabsuite.com/spotcollector/NewAnnouncements.exe
unzip the contents of this zip archive into SpotCollector's Sounds folder
