Determining why an uploaded QSO was not accepted by LotW
Clicking the LotW button in the Filter panel at the bottom of the Main window's Log QSOs tab. populates the Log Page Display with QSOs that were uploaded, but have not been accepted. There are several reasons why an uploaded QSO may not be accepted:
- the LotW server has not yet processed the uploaded QSO
- the QSO does not specify a valid callsign, or specifies a callsign that the ARRL DXCC desk either considers invalid (e.g. P5RS7) or has not yet validated
- the QSO does not specify a valid band
- the QSO does not specify a valid mode
- the QSO does not specify a valid date and time
the QSO's date and time are inconsistent with the date range specified in the Callsign Certificate associated with the "Station Callsign specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
the QSO specifies a Satellite name, but the QSO's propagation mode is not set to SAT
the QSO's propagation mode is set to SAT, but the QSO does not specify a Satellite name
- there are two or more identical copies of the QSO in your log
the Callsign Certificate associated with the Station Callsign specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab has expired
Corrective Actions
Check to see if LotW has processed the QSO by right-clicking its entry in the Log Page Display and selecting the Update from LotW menu item. If the QSO's LotW QSL Sent item changes from {U} to {Y}, the QSO has been accepted by LotW; if not, wait an hour and try Update from LotW once more. If you have many QSOs to check, then
on the Main window's Log QSOs tab, click the Filter panel's LotW button; this will filter the Log Page Display to contain all QSOs uploaded to LotW, but not yet accepted by LotW
on the Main window's QSL tab, set the QSL Via panel to LotW
click the Update from LotW button
If the QSO does not specify required information or specifies invalid information, correct the omission or error, and then upload the QSO to LotW
If the QSO was uploaded with the wrong Station Location, select the correct Station Location, and then upload the QSO to LotW
- If the QSO is a duplicate, delete it
If the Callsign Certificate used to upload the QSO has expired, renew it
