Uploading all QSOs Not Previously Uploaded to LoTW
Each QSO uploaded to LotW must include a Callsign, Band, Mode, and Begin date and time. Satellite QSOs must also specify the Propagation mode as SAT, and specify a Satellite Name.
If you expect that your log contains more than 1000 QSOs never submitted to LoTW, use this procedure to export an ADIF file. To upload all QSOs not previously uploaded to LotW,
In the Filter panel at the bottom of the Main window's Log QSOs tab, click the X button so that all QSOs in your log are visible in the Log Page Display
on the Main window's QSL tab
set the QSL via panel to LotW; if LotW is disabled (greyed-out), the QSL Queue already contains QSOs and must be cleared before you can proceed (either by completing the operation that populated the QSL Queue, or by clicking the Clear button)
click the Add Requested button; this will populate the QSL Queue with all QSOs never uploaded to LotW
if you have defined more than one Station Location, check the Station Location and Station Callsign shown immediately below the Upload to LotW button to be sure they are correct for the QSOs you're about to upload; if not, select the appropriate Station Location in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
click the Upload to LotW button; this will automatically
create a temporary ADIF file containing information from all valid QSOs in the QSL Queue whose Station Location and Station Callsign are consistent with the Station Location and Station Callsign specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
if a QSO does not specify a my QTH, it's consistent if the QSO's Station Callsign item matches the Station Callsign specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
if a QSO specifies a my QTH that doesn't specify a Station Location, it's consistent the QSO's Station Callsign item matches the Station Callsign specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
if a QSO specifies a my QTH that specifies a Station Location, it's consistent if
the Station Location specified in the my QTH matches the Station Location specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
- and
the QSO's Station Callsign item matches the Station Callsign specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
invoke the TQSL application to encrypt the QSOs and upload them to LotW
if the upload succeeds, set the LOTW QSL SENT item of each uploaded QSO to U (for uploaded)
remove all successfully-uploaded QSOs from QSL Queue
- after a few minutes (or longer on contest weekends),
click the Sync LotW QSOs button -- this will
direct LotW to send DXKeeper a list of all uploaded QSOs that have been accepted by LotW since you last clicked the Sync LotW QSOs button
set the LOTW QSL SENT item of each accepted QSO to Y
click the Sync LoTW QSLs button -- this will update your logged QSOs to reflect confirmations from LoTW
on the Main window, select the Log QSOs tab and click the LotW button in the Filter panel at the bottom of the tab; this will filter the Log Page Display to show only QSOs whose LOTW QSL SENT item remains U; such QSOs either
have not yet been processed by the LotW server, perhaps because its busy or down for maintenance; wait a couple of hours, and click the Sync LotW QSOs button again
- have been rejected by LotW because information is missing or inconsistent (for example, a QSO containing a mode not accepted by LotW will be rejected); to ascertain the status of your uploaded QSOs, see below.
if clicking the LotW button in the Filter panel shows no QSOs in the Log Page Display, then all uploaded QSOs have been accepted by LotW, and you should proceed to synchronize QSLs.
Any invalid or inconsistent QSO encountered by the Upload to LotW operation initiated in step 2.d will not be submitted to LotW; the Enabled checkbox in its QSL Queue entry will be unchecked, and the reason for this action will be noted in an after-action report that DXKeeper will display.
If the QSOs left in the QSL Queue are invalid, click the Clear button to clear the QSL Queue, correct the QSOs in your log, and then proceed to step 1 above.
If the QSOs left in the QSL Queue specify a my QTH whose Station Location doesn't match the Station Location specified in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab,
click the Enable All button to check the Enabled boxes of all entries in the QSL Queue
select the appropriate Station Location in the TQSL panel on the QSL Configuration window's LotW tab
- proceed to step 1 above
If step 2.d displays a window contains the message Certificate qso date out of range on line 5 followed by the details of a QSO, then either the Callsign Certificate associated with the Station Location shown immediately below the Upload to LotW button has expired, or the Callsign Certificate's date range does not encompass the QSO. To determine if your Callsign Certificate has expired and renew it if necessary, see these instructions.
When executing step 2.e above, the title bar of DXKeeper's Main window may display the words "Not Responding". This is "Windows speak" for "waiting for input or output", and should be ignored.
If one or more uploaded QSOs are not accepted by LotW within a reasonable interval, determine why and take corrective action.
